Christian Education for
All - 9 am Sunday mornings

Our 9 AM education hour offers seekers of all
ages the opportunity to explore their faith and learn more about the
foundations of Christianity. In 2006-2007, our focus in all our education
programs is on the Beatitudes and the Sermon on the Mount. We are exploring
their history, and what they mean for us today. Whether you are an eager preschooler or an inquiring
retiree (or somewhere in between), our education hour has something for you.
Plan to arrive a few minutes early (there's coffee available), and check the
information in the narthex (lobby) for what is offered and where to go.
During education hour, child care is available for children below
kindergarten age.

Sunday Morning Worship -
10
a.m. year-round
Our main worship
service is designed to appeal to people of all ages and all depths of
belief. We open each service by welcoming everyone - believers, seekers and
doubters. Even our preschoolers begin worship with us, and then leave after
a few minutes for their own education program. Young elementary students
(grades 1 - 3) stay longer in the service, then may leave for a special "sermon
breakout" with one of the ministers. Then they rejoin the congregation after
the sermon.
We blend the elements of music, prayer,
scripture and teaching so that our Sabbath time together is joyful,
challenging, renewing and often very moving. Worship usually lasts about an
hour and fifteen minutes. Dress is casual. And there's always time afterward
for coffee and fellowship. Click
here for information about who is preaching this Sunday.

Wednesday
Evening Worship All are welcome at the Wednesday evening
Taize-style worship service and the soup and bread dinner, which follows the
service.
About our Taize Service: The Taize-style service is a
beautiful, reflective service that includes communal prayer, a brief period
of silence, the sacrament of Communion, and music from the Taize community
(an ecumenical community of brothers located in a small village in eastern
France). The music of Taize is characterized by simple, repetitive
phrases set to tuneful melodies. |
