We celebrate the tenth year of our partnership with Mwanzo in Rabuor, Kenya! by designating this organization to receive the special offerings during the month of April
Under the guidance of Loyce Ong’udi, several major projects have been completed through the work of Mwanzo, the nonprofit founded by Loyce.. First there was the preschool for children orphaned by HIV/AIDS. As important as their early learning, were the daily hot meals provided at the school.
As preschoolers turned into grade schoolers, a school building was constructed, and this year brought students through the eighth grade.
A new community center building has just been completed that includes new space for the preschool, releasing additional room for grade schoolers. In addition to student services, economic projects have been developed for men and women, which help to provide much needed family income.
As we give our special celebration offering, we help to support what comes next. Will eighth graders be able to have scholarships to continue their education? Will Rabuor be able to meet climate change with the planting of many additional trees? Will members, perhaps youth, from our church be able to visit Rabuor and work with them on a project? Will a group from Rabuor, perhaps youth, be able to visit with us here and work with us on a project? It is your giving to this anniversary offering which will begin to provide answers for the future! Thank you for your continued support of Mwanzo!
Be sure to read Loyce’s article to learn more, and join us via Zoom on April 3 and 24 at 1 p.m. to celebrate this joyous anniversary
