Monday, January 16, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at UCUCC.
Join us for a skills-building workshop in the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr.’s philosophy of the beloved community – a community shaped by love, justice, inclusion and peace. This workshop builds on the Community Organizing experience at our Seabeck Camp, and connects with our ongoing efforts in racial justice, hunger outreach, environmental justice, homelessness and other challenges. Learn more about the practice of “One-One Learning Conversations” as a transformative method of connection and building organizing power – inside of our church community and in our larger community.
This workshop will be hosted by Christian Formation, Love and Justice, and the Asset Enhancement Task Force, and facilitated by Rachel Haxtema and Rev. Steve Jerbi.
