May you feel held. May you know you are not alone. May you know the presence of God’s peace in your life. These are prayers we hold for each other in trials of the spirit and in times of joy.
We have been through so much change: the pandemic isolation and partial emergence, the shifts in our pastoral leadership team and congregation leaders. We know we are changing as a church and church community and we want to hear more of what you need to be spiritually fed, cared for in community and part of a healthy congregation.
The Church Health Task Force is part of our UCUCC journey to check in with each other and ourselves. It is a time for our own spiritual reflection as well as our identification of what’s working well and what we need more of in our church family. Out of the Rekindling Connections conversations, which included 95 people in 10 sessions in Spring and Fall, we hear both the joy and the sorrow, the healthy parts and the areas that ache or need attention. We heard really important themes that we’ve shared with leadership.
Now the Church Health Task Force is working to assure that each congregant has a voice. We are developing a survey in order to hear from each of you. This will provide a base for more conversations about how we can be more loving, more healthy on our journey together as a church community, have better quality of life, and support each other in life’s journey.
Thanks for walking with us and sharing your thoughts in the survey.
Blessings for the journey.
