We’re continuing our theme of THRESHOLDS, recognizing this time of transition and transformation: racial, environmental, economic, cultural, spiritual. How to leave behind old ways and enter into new ones? How to be with the uncomfortable space of not-yet, the messy middle? Together we’ll engage imagination, spirit, and real-life skills for threshold times.
Gathering Ground Community Retreat & Listening Circles
You’re invited! Let’s listen and reflect together as a community, setting directions for the coming year. In light of the past year’s growth and shifts, what is today’s understanding of the value Gathering Ground offers the world? Where might we best gather to serve that purpose? There will be chances to weigh in through a survey and phone chats, as well as three planning sessions over Zoom. If you’d like to participate by survey or in a 1-on-1 conversation, please email or call Beth at GatherinGround.Seattle@gmail.com or 206-880-3641. To join the three Zoom gatherings, please RSVP on the Gathering Ground website: https://gatheringround.org/gatherings/2021/7/10/retreat
Thursday, July 8, 7:00 – 8:30 pm
We’ll begin with our annual question: Is the work of this community complete? What gift do we bring to the world that it is hungry for? Hear responses from our other conversations.
Friday, July 9, 7:00 – 8:30 pm.
Depending on Thursday’s decision, delve into the values & directions brought up on Thursday. Get curious about how those might be brought to life in online space or in-person, or some combination.
Saturday, July 10, 9:00 am – 10:30am.
Select a few priorities from previous discussions for the upcoming year’s work. You are welcome to attend 1, 2 or all 3 sessions. We do request that folks attending on Saturday have been to 1 other session, as that will be our time to pull together previous conversations.
