How do we reckon with a family history of racism? Join local writer June BlueSpruce to delve into the book Whiteness Is Not an Ancestor: Essays on Life and Lineage by white Women. Using a lens of inherited trauma and family history, this collection of 12 personal essays offers a brave, humanizing path to dismantle whiteness, face grief, and bring healing. We can assist with loaning or purchasing the book.

Learn about the moving practices of the Mexican fìesta, Dia de los Muertos. It’s a powerful tradition to honor those who have passed on, but who are still important in your life. Please bring with you as you log on or attend in person: photographs or favorite foods of your beloved family who have passed on. Led by Rene De Los Santos. If attending in person, we’ll practice community safety by wearing masks & distancing.
