On October 1st and 2nd Paige and volunteers renovated the playground garden at the church. They pulled out all the overgrown plants and put in all native species such as yarrow, vine maple, evergreen huckleberry, Kinnikinnick and more. As well as replanted the banboo. This was all part of Paige’s Eagle Scout project. The garden had previously been overgrown with plants for several years. In fact Paige got the idea to renovate the garden because she remembered how overgrown it had been during the church’s annual Easter egg hunt when she was in elementary school.
The garden renovation helped make the playground look a nicer as well as make the garden alot more welcoming to kids. We would like to thank Ed and Linea Coleman, Robyn Reed and all the youth and other people who came and helped out. As well as Kyna Shilling, Carol Ingraham, Ashleigh Johnson, Nancy Dennison, Trent Siegel, and Paul Kraegel for helping to get this project going.
