A classroom for children—September Special Offering
UCUCC Child Care Programs: the Child Learning and Care Center and Trettin Drop-In Preschool
The September Special Offering benefits the scholarship fund of our UCUCC Child Care Programs—the Child Learning and Care Center, and the Trettin Drop-In
Preschool. Scholarships offer financial assistance for tuition costs to families who can not afford to pay the full amount for child care. This financial help enables us to provide a place in our programs where all children, regardless of their family financial situation, will be well cared for, nurtured, and receive high quality educational experiences.
Because of church support, our programs have remained open during the pandemic, continuing to provide care for young children of working parents. A classroom for school age children up to seven years old was added to serve children who were not able to have in-person learning in their regular school. We run a secular program to be inclusive for all. At the same time, we teach children about kindness, generosity, love, working cooperatively together, and functioning in a group with diverse others. In September we will welcome new children ages 12 months to pre-kindergarten to our Child Care Programs, continuing to live out our mission of service to the community. Thank you for helping make that happen for our children.
