As we courageously enter into our 2020 Stewardship Pledge campaign, I thought we all might enjoy reading about one of the largest projects our church bravely undertook in the 20th century.
In a 1948 Youth Conference in Oslo, Norway, our Ernie Reuter met Ingeborge Ziesecke. She told him about all the hungry children in her village on the Communist side of the Iron Curtain. He took her story back to Seattle, and the families in UCUCC’s Sunday School organized Care Packages.
