We are so happy to welcome our new Evening Custodian, Videographer, and Office Admin!
Solomon Embaya is our new evening custodian who started at the beginning of August. Solomon is a familiar face to some of us who have been around the church for several years – he used to sub for vacations and for extra hands for big events at UCUCC. He grew up in Eritrea, and is good friends with Tewolde, our weekend custodian (who has been with us for over 25 years!).
Solomon has some exciting news to share as well – his wife and children were able to move to the US just last month – a 6 year wait! Such wonderful news! You can welcome Solomon when you are at the church between 3:00 – 10:00 pm, Mon-Fri.
Anthony Lopez is our new videographer who started in the middle of August. Anthony is a video producer and editor with a background in independent film, educational videos, and occasional ministry work. He loves watching movies and reading comics. And a personal accomplishment is that he once hiked Pikes Peak (trailing his wife the whole time!). He is excited to work with the UCUCC team and looks forward to creating great video content with all of us. His email is alopez@universityucc.org. Anthony will be working virtually most of the time, so send him a quick email welcome!
Charlene Klockzein is our new office admin – she started on August 23rd, and is busy training with Vicki, Kiran, and Kyna.
Charlene is excited to be joining the UCUCC office team and is looking forward to meeting everyone. Her work background includes 20 years with US West/Qwest/CenturyLink as well as working at Frederick & Nelson in the Buying Office. One of her great passions is helping out and helping others, the other is music and performing. She is a trained singer, dancer, and actress performing lead roles in musicals and light opera as well as doing solo recitals.
She will be working in the office Sunday mornings 9:00am-noon and Thursdays all day, and will be finalizing the rest of her schedule in the next few weeks. Please stop by the office to welcome Charlene to our community!
