This summer I have the awesome opportunity to share in some of our congregational traditions that happen off-site: summer trips with the middle school and high school youth, and all-church camp at Seabeck. I’ll also be providing spiritual guidance for the pilgrimage to Iona, Scotland. Because all of these trips flow out of my role as minister of Christian formation, if you aren’t connected with them you might not have realized this. These are great opportunities for me to grow deeper relationships with those that are on these trips. It also means I’ll be away from my family so the comp-time when I get back is really important. This also means I’ll have limited availability for on-site leadership (for example, I’ll be away for 5 out of 12 Sundays starting with 6/19).
I recognize that I’ve got some strong connections within the congregation and others that are still forming or just beginning. As always, I welcome the opportunity to connect. The easiest way is to schedule something on my calendar using my calendly link. You can also call or text me to set something up. My cell is available through the church office. Emails are already a challenge for me to keep up with, and with less office hours this summer I anticipate it will be even harder.
Peace and Goodness,
Pastor Steve
