“They tried to bury us. They didn’t know we were seeds.” This quote comes from the Greek poet Dinos Christianopoulos (1931-2020), ostracized by the literary community because he was gay. Recently, resistors in Mexico used these words to protest corruption, murder, and the erosion of truth. Seeds appear in parables throughout the New Testament as Jesus illustrates his vision for the kin-dom. This summer, we explore Jesus’ words as tools for resistance, hope, and transformation.
